Expanded beam technology

Expanded beam technology is ideal for use in harsh environment applications where optical interfaces can easily become contaminated potentially jeopardising system performance and where cables needs to be deployed directly on the ground in all terrains, commonly used in defence, broadcast, industrial and off-shore applications.

Our common range of expanded beam connectors are available in four shell sizes.
- Mini: Ideal for apllications where size and space requirements are critical
- Junior: The most commonly used standard in military applications
- Senior: Available with up to 8 channels and a range of hybrid variants
- Maxi: High channel density connector with 12 or 16 channels

Alternative connector shell materials available on request: Aluminium Zinc-Cobalt, Nickel Aluminium Bronze, Stainless Steel, and Thermoplastic.
We also supply 38999-style expanded beam connectors with self-locking anti-vibration connection, and Junior-size MIL-DTL-83526 certified connectors.
