Deployable solution - QuickLink
Hexatronic QuickLink is designed for use in demanding environments where a fast connection is essential. The QuickLink is equipped with our rugged military-grade cable, which is an incredibly durable cable that can be used in much harsher environments than conventional fiber cable. The cable can withstand being placed directly on the ground in demanding environments and can be hung between trees to keep out of the way. Areas of application: - Access points - Audio / video systems - Emergency fiber - Mobile production trucks - Outdoor Broadcast - Temporary communication links Hexatronic QuickLink is a solution for distributing a temporary signal on site or bypassing a defective cable. QuickLink can be configured to fit your interface and is built for use in the field. Flexible design with configurable length, drum size, connector interface and fiber count. Safe fiber handling with protective sleeve and robust fiber cable. Configuration with robust fiber optic connectors available on request. - Robust fiber optic cable MIL-TAC - Reinforced fiber ends with mechanical protection - Easy-to-use puller with a durable pull loop - Lightweight cable reel The connection interface is configurable at both ends. Choose between standard LC, SC and ST connectors, as well as with an adapter plate or fanout at the inner end.

Expanded beam technology
Expanded beam technology is ideal for use in harsh environment applications where optical interfaces can easily become contaminated potentially jeopardising system performance and where cables needs to be deployed directly on the ground in all terrains, commonly used in defence, broadcast, industrial and off-shore applications. Product features: - From 1 up to 16 optical channels - Fiber type Singlemode or Multimode - Plug or Bulkhead connector style - Cable or Fanout configuration - Optical performance according to MIL-DTL-835265 Our common range of expanded beam connectors are available in four shell sizes. - Mini: Ideal for apllications where size and space requirements are critical - Junior: The most commonly used standard in military applications - Senior: Available with up to 8 channels and a range of hybrid variants - Maxi: High channel density connector with 12 or 16 channels Alternative connector shell materials available on request: Aluminium Zinc-Cobalt, Nickel Aluminium Bronze, Stainless Steel, and Thermoplastic. We also supply 38999-style expanded beam connectors with self-locking anti-vibration connection, and Junior-size MIL-DTL-83526 certified connectors.

Field deployable system - FieldLink
Hexatronic FieldLink is a reliable field deployable cable solution that is designed for advanced military communication systems. The FieldLink solution is based on our long experience and deep knowledge of rugged fiber optic products that let us help our customers such as defence agencies, integrators, and major system manufacturers to design and supply reliable connectivity solutions. For use in applications including: - Ground Based Air Defence Systems - Mobile Tactical Shelters - Point-to-Point (P2P) Communication - Radar Systems - Reliable Mining Connectivity - Ship-to-Shore Links - Tactical Deployable Communication - Weapons Control Systems FieldLink cable assemblies are designed with expanded beam technology for high optical performance and high reliability connections, combined with our Hexatronic MIL-TAC (Military Tactical) cable it makes an ideal fiber optic connectivity solution for harsh environment applications where deployment and retreival of fiber optic cable for reuse is required. Instead of traditional sheet metal drums, we choose MARS® cable reels that are constructed of an impact modified polymer for high surviability and with the advantage of eliminating rust resulting from field operations. Designed with interlocking stacking and integrated connector storage, allows the reels to be stacked and interlocked during transportation and storage. MARS® is a modular solution available with different deployable tripods, frames and backpack solutions. Specification: - 1 to 16 optical channels - Singlemode or Multimode - Expanded beam connectors - Deployable MIL-TAC cable - > 1 000 meter cable capacity

Hybrid connectivity - Power & fiber
A hybrid connection is used to connect both power and fiber to various applications, such as wireless network infrastructure, security and surveillance systems, tactical weapon control stations, C-UAS (Counter UAS) and much more. With Hexatronic FieldLink hybrid cabling, you can save time and reduce material costs in temporary connections in outdoor environments. Expanded beam hybrid connectors with both optical fiber (lenses) and copper pins are ideal for use in harsh environments where optical interfaces can easily become contaminated and potentially compromise system performance. The connector housing is available in Senior or MIL-DTL-38999 design, the insert is available in various lens/pin configurations. Hexatronic MIL-TAC (Military Tactical) hybrid cables are designed for outdoor use and can withstand temporary deployment directly on the ground in all terrains, including harsh environments with a high risk of crushing. Our MIL-TAC hybrid cables are extremely strong, have a high flexibility and are designed with a compact and round cable design for easy use/transport. Our hybrid connectivity solution is also part of the Hexatronic InOne range, our fast deployment powered/fiber system for tactical communication in harsh environments. The InOne system consists of 1. Hybrid Distribution Node (230VAC in), 2. Field Deployable Connectivity Solution (FieldLink Hybrid) and 3. Hybrid Access Node (48/24VDC).

WISTOM is the fastest optical spectrum analyzer on the market which scans a full spectrum in 40 microseconds. It provides accurate OPM functionality with 100Gbit/s, 40Gbit/s, 10Gbit/s and 2.5Gbit/s in the same link. Customers include major international carriers, universities, and the defense industry.

Test & measurement
Why inspect? Fiber connectors are a potential source of failure because the glass is exposed and can be subject to dirt or abrasion. In many cases, problems with connectors have proven to be the biggest source of failure in fiber optic networks. Contacts that are dirty can both transfer dirt and cause other contacts to wear when connected. In order to assess the quality of the fiber connections, it is therefore absolutely necessary to inspect. A microscope is used to inspect a fiber connector, there are different types of analog, digital and "smart" microscopes. The advantage of a "smart" microscope is that it checks the contact in relation to predefined criteria or standards and, based on the criteria, verifies whether the contact is in accordance with the requirements.
