A web application for GIMS
Challenge:
Peel Port hire sub-contracted companies to dredge harbours. There was no way of monitoring how many hours they spend dredging in Peel Ports dredging campaigns.
Solution:
T–Kartor developed a web application with custom designed base layer: OSM with overlayed ENC chart including coastline. Peel Port are now able to plan dredging campaigns using a Geofencing area and track dredging. After a dredging Port can display history of dredging tracks and a heat map and a printed report with time of vessels in the dredging area.
