CFORT

The CFORT competence platform was started in 2017 in collaboration between the Swedish Fortification Agency and RISE. The purpose of CFORT is to build and maintain national fortification competence for the needs of the entire total defence. CFORT operates in 6 sub-areas; explosive load and weapon effects, electrical environmental threats, robust energy supply, fire protection, physical access protection and CBRNe. The basic activities within the competence platform are environmental monitoring, applied research and development, collaboration and training and expert support. Today, in addition to the Swedish Fortification Agency and RISE, the Swedish Armed Forces are also included in CFORT and 15 agencies are represented in the reference group.
