When a person goes missing, time is the single most critical factor. Every minute can mean the difference between life and death. SAR Sweden is available around the clock to assist the Swedish Police Authority in life-saving operations, and the need for the right equipment is greater than ever.
Since 2010, SAR Sweden has contributed skilled and highly trained search resources. The organization takes part in more land-based search operations than any other voluntary actor in Sweden under the Civil Protection Act (LSO) when life or health is at risk, and in the Stockholm Police Region, SAR Sweden participates in 100% of all cases where a missing person is at risk to life or health.
The fact that the Swedish Police Authority has provided the organization with Rakel communications equipment since 2014 is a clear sign of the trust and professionalism that SAR Sweden represents.

Since its inception in 2010, SAR Sweden has assisted the Stockholm Police Region with quality-assured search resources. For 15 years and over 450 operations where the police have decided to (LSO). When there is a danger to life or health of the missing person(s). The organization has never missed an assignment even though everyone is 100% volunteer. And stands ready as a search resource. Today we have UAS Pilots, Dog Resources, Vehicle Resources with ATV, MC, Enduro and car. Also foot resources that can move in all types of terrain.
