FOI, the Swedish Defence Research Agency is a world-leading government institute in defence and security research. Our task is to develop Sweden’s total defence capacity for the future. The research covers the both military and civilian defence and is applied both within the Swedish Armed Forces and with the civilian actors who play a decisive role in ensuring a relevant and effective defence capability for the future.
Activities include a variety of subject and domain areas, including civil defence, IT security, space, CBRNe, underwater research and security policy analyses. Research and insights in these areas are crucial for Sweden’s future defence and security.
